More Information:
Saturday morning, June 4th at 6:00 a.m. Hartford Town Forest Trailhead Parking Area at the end of Reservoir Road.
A bird walk led by Tom Sherry, ornithologist and conservation biologist, who recently moved to Hartford after retiring from Tulane University. Tom began his career at the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest in the White Mountains as a Dartmouth post-doc who focused on bird communities, especially on American redstarts and least flycatchers. Tom's more recent specialties include population biology of long-distant migrants (warblers). He is particularly interested in how Neotropical birds connect to circumstances here in the Upper Valley and across the face of the Hemisphere.
Tom will be joined by naturalist Ted Levin, a nature writer and member of the Hartford Conservation Commission.
