The citizens of the Town of Hartford are hereby notified that due to snow removal operations, and as per the Town of Hartford Parking Ordinance, all night parking is prohibited on all streets and highways in the Town between the hours of 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. from December 1, 2015 and May 1, 2016.
Please be advised that VSA Title 23, Section 1126a, Depositing snow onto or across certain highways is prohibited.
No person, other than an employee in the performance of his or her official duties or other person authorized by the agency of transportation (in the case of state highways) or selectboard (in the case of town highways) shall plow or otherwise deposit snow onto the traveled way, shoulder or sidewalk of a state highway or a class 1, 2, 3 town highway.
For safety reasons, it is also requested that parents prevent their children from building or playing in forts or tunnels in roadside snowbanks.
