In March of 2020, Hartford voters passed Article 25, requiring the development, operation, and maintenance of the Town’s municipal infrastructure and equipment achieve carbon neutrality by 2027. In September of 2020, the Selectboard contracted with consultant paleBLUEdot (pBd) to assist the Town in the plan development. The Climate Advisory Committee, pBd, Town staff and community members worked together over several months to gather and analyze data, and translate this information into goals, strategies and actions.
