[ARCHIVED] Community Meeting to Consider Possible Changes to Route 4 & 5

The Town of Hartford Planning Commission and staff have been considering adding residential uses to the area currently zoned as Industrial/Commercial (IC) on the east side of Route 5 near the intersection of Route 4 & 5 and changing the designation to "Highway Commercial/Residential (HCR)."  The proposed HCR zoning district would make single-unit dwellings, two-unit dwellings, multi-unit dwellings and mixed-use (residential and commercial development) condition uses.  Other proposed changes include moving some permitted uses to the conditional use side or eliminating the use all together in making the district more like the Highway Commercial zoning district.

A virtual community meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, January 19th at 6:00 p.m.  The following is a link to the meeting:
