The Assessors have this same day lodged the abstract in the office of the clerk for the inspection of taxpayers.
Given current state guidelines out intent will be to maintain social distancing and keep everyone safe.  Grievance hearings will not be held in person this year, instead requested meetings will be held remotely (via video chat or phone call).  Applications for grievance can be found on the towns website at  All request for grievance need to be received at the town office by 4pm on June 30th.  On the 30thday of June 2020 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. (postmarks not accepted).  The assessors will be responding grievances though virtual meetings, via phone calls, and written correspondence.
At the close of grievance hearings, the assessors shall make such corrections in the abstract as were determined.
Unless cause to the contrary is shown, the contents of said abstract will, for the year 2020, become the taxable grand list of the Town of Hartford.
