2)The Town government requirement of carbon neutrality has been achieved.
Constitution: The Climate Advisory Committee will be constituted by five members of the public who live or work in Hartford with a majority who live in Hartford.
One member of the Town staff may be designated to support the Committee. One member of the Selectboard will be designated as a liaison to the Committee. Charge:A)To take action or make recommendations to the Selectboard for the furtherance of the resolutions identified in A Joint Resolution Declaring a Climate Emergency.
B)To make recommendations to the Selectboard regarding the Town requirement to achieve carbon neutrality by 2027. C)To collaborate with members of, or parallel committees from, the School Board, Town of Hartford, and neighboring towns.Compliance with Open Meeting LawIn order to comply with the open meeting laws, committee meetings will be warned, recorded and open to the public.
