[ARCHIVED] Quechee Gorge Bridge Temporary Fence Installation to begin October 15

During installation there will be one-lane travel on Route 4 at the bridge, with traffic controlled by flaggers. One sidewalk will be OPEN to pedestrians at all times while the contractor is working on the bridge.

The fence that will be installed consists of green vinyl with green posts and fittings. Galvanized (silver) fittings will be used to attach to the existing rail to match the existing color of the bridge rail.

Miller Construction of Windsor, VT is the contractor, assisted by Lafayette of Essex Junction. The contractor estimates the installation will take 3 ½ weeks.

PLEASE DRIVE WITH CAUTION TROUGH THE WORK ZONE and watch for flaggers.
It is illegal in VT to use any handheld portable electronic devices while driving. The law carries fines of up to $200 with points assessed if the violation occurs in a work zone.
