[ARCHIVED] TOWN MANAGER SEARCH COMMITTEE UPDATE

On behalf of the Hartford Town Manager Search Committee, I wanted to provide a quick update as to where we are in the search process. There are 8 members of our Committee and we have been meeting since the end of July. At our second meeting (beginning of August), we were able to finalize the job posting which has since been advertised through Municipal Resources, Inc. (MRI). MRI is the search firm that has been hired by the Town to help conduct the search by advertising the position and creating an Ideal Candidate Profile and Challenge Statement with information specific to this position based on feedback from the surveys conducted. The Ideal Candidate Profile and Challenge Statement is in draft form currently and the Committee will be reviewing this next week.

MRI reported that they have received applications and our Committee should be reviewing them in the very near future. The Committee is charged with finding the top 3 to 5 candidates to recommend to the Selectboard and we will do that by conducting preliminary interviews in the coming weeks.

Our meetings are open to the public and we post our Agenda and Minutes on the Town’s website.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly at esrathburn@gmail.com and I will bring them forward to the Committee.
