78% of survey respondents agree or strongly agree that it is important that the Town provide an outdoor swimming pool or other aquatic venue.
The result is part of the recent Public Sentiment Survey distributed and collected throughout the community over the past several months regarding the fate of the Sherman Manning Pool located on the grounds of the Hartford High School.
On Saturday, September 8th the public engagement continues as the committee will be attending the Glory Days of the Railroad Event to continue surveying the community. Members of the Pool Committee will be on hand between 11am and 2pm to obtain input from Hartford Residents. The gathering of information from the public includes a display of aquatic feature options that residents would like to see in a pool. Residents will be able to identify what is most important to them. In addition, the exercise will provide residents the opportunity to again identify if a pool is important to them.
A representative from Weston & Sampson Engineering will also be on site to assist with the public engagement exercise. Members of the Pool Committee and Weston & Sampson will be set up along the walkway between Engine 494 and the railroad crossing.
