The Ralph Lehman bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic on Saturday morning (August 29) and reopen in that afternoon for the rest of the weekend. The bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic from Monday August 31 through September 4 to allow United Construction and their sub-contractor to apply a new protective membrane to the bridge deck and to repave the bridge deck and roadway approach on Bridge Street. Motorists are advised that the detour for this bridge is the Route 5-Urban Bridge. Pedestrians may continue to use the sidewalk on the bridge while construction is ongoing. Pending weather or unforeseen issues the bridge will be re-opened the afternoon of September 4, 2015. We apologize for any inconvenience.
