[ARCHIVED] Closeout of Vermont Community Development Grant for Housing Projects - Final Public Hearing Notice


The Town of Hartford, VT received $388,433 from the State of Vermont for a grant under the Vermont Community Development Program. A public hearing will be held at 171 Bridge Street, White River Junction, VT, Room 1, on 8/29/2017 at 6:00 PM to obtain the views of citizens on community development, to furnish information concerning the range of community development activities that have been undertaken under this program, and to give affected citizens the opportunity to examine a statement of the use of these funds. The VCDP Funds received have been used to accomplish the following activities: The VCDP funds were combined with other funding resources to replace, renovate and add apartments to existing low and moderate-income housing already located on five properties scattered throughout the Town of Hartford, resulting in a total of 35 code compliant, energy efficient and handicapped accessible apartments. New Construction included 388 South Main St (4 units); and 459 South Main St (5 units). Renovations included 384 and 414 Hathaway Rd (9 units); 261 VA Cutoff Rd (9 units); and 52 Christian St (8 units).
