Please join Architectural Historian Brian Knight & the Hartford Historic Preservation Commission for a presentation/discussion of the historic district update. The White River Junction Historic District was originally listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The District was updated and expanded in 2002. Many changes have occurred downtown since 2002. The current update also includes expansion of the District south along South Main Street and north to include three buildings on the north side of Maple Street.  For more information, see www.hartford-vt.org or contact Matt Osborn at mosborn@hartford-vt.org or 295-3075.

The Town of Hartford received a Certified Local Government grant from the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation to prepare an update to the White River Junction Historic District. Brian Knight was hired by the Town to undertake the project.  Currently, Hartford has eight historic districts listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
