WATER PLANT OPERATOR 2
The Town of Hartford, Vermont is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Plant Operator 2 for the Hartford Water Department. This position performs a variety of routine tasks and specialized technical functions related to the operation and maintenance of a Town water treatment facility and water system. Level 3 State Certification desired and a broad base of technical knowledge and skills in all facets of water treatment plant operation, including government standards and regulations.
Minimum qualifications include: Basic education (high school) or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired. Good mechanical skills, with experience in operation, maintenance and repair of pumps, electrical and plumbing systems. Good basic reading, writing and math skills. Basic understanding of chemistry, with college-level training is desirable. Experience reading blueprints and written instruction manuals desirable. The Town is willing to train the appropriate candidate (mechanical, electrical or control experience desired).
Pay Grade and Range of OPERATOR 2 candidates: Starting Range $18.41 to $24.55 Depending on Qualifications.
