[ARCHIVED] Implementing the Downtown White River Junction Revitalization Plan

On June 22nd the Town will begin the reconstruction of Gates Street (east) between South Main Street and the railroad tracks. This is another step towards completing the projects identified in the WRJ Downtown Revitalization Plan and the WRJ TIF District Plan. Because WRJ is a State Designated Downtown, the Town was able to receive a $100,000 State grant towards the project, which includes: improvements to water, wastewater and storm drainage, street reconstruction, new sidewalks, lighting, and landscaping. We expect the construction work to be completed by August 2015.

There will be some disruptions in the Downtown during construction, but we are scheduling them to minimize the impacts. We appreciate your patience during the construction period. Please contact Public Works at 295-3622 if you have any questions or concerns.
