[ARCHIVED] SEWER MAIN FLUSHING IN WILDER

Wednesday 5/4/2016: Flushing of sewer mains will occur on the following streets in Wilder.

• Chestnut Street
• Elm Street
• Christian Street
• Division Street
• Hawthorn Street
• Gillette Street
• Locust Street
• Lexington Street

You may hear an occasional noise in the sewer pipes and an occasional “burp” in the toilets. Lack of adequate venting of sewer pipes may result in splatter from your toilets. Please keep your toilet seats shut during the day in the event of any water splatter. Also, please check any unused bathrooms or sinks as dry traps may emit sewer gas. If you feel that you have any sewer gases, please make sure all of the traps are full. Let us know if you have any problems.

Thank you very much,
Earl Dyke, Chief Wastewater Plant Operator
Everett Hammond, Assistant Public Works Director
