The Town of Hartford, Vermont is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Highway General Foreman. This position will assist the Highway Superintendent with daily supervisory and administrative tasks of the Highway Department; to serve as a Highway Site Foreman; to perform the duties of an equipment operator on a limited basis, with a focus on complex / highly skilled equipment operations in all seasons.
Minimum qualifications include: Basic education (high school) at least 2 years college desirable, plus 8 to 10 years of relevant technical and supervisory experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired. Broad base of knowledge and skills related to highway maintenance and construction operations.
A combination of skills and experience demonstrating the above requirements may be considered. Must possess or be able to obtain a CDL License. The Town of Hartford is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
