Curbside Recycling Information

“The Dos and Don’ts of Zero Sort Reminder”

Due to the growing volume of banned products being placed in curbside recycling containers, The Department of Public Works and Casella Waste Systems, Inc. would like to remind the users of curbside recycling of the Dos and Don’ts of Zero Sort Recycling.

Please familiarize or re-familiarize yourself with the rules and print off a poster for reference at

"The Town of Hartford administers a contract with Casella for residential curbside recycling pick up that is supported by general fund taxes.  This is a zero-sort program for standard household recyclables listed below.  Residents do not need to sign-up for the service nor do they need a specific bin.

If your service has been missed, please call 1-800-CASELLA to report it to them."
